A Little World to Colour - The Story Behind Fairyland: The Garden of Fairies

A Little World to Colour - The Story Behind Fairyland: The Garden of Fairies

There is something wonderful about being invited into a little world that exists only for a while.

A woodland path winding between the tress.

A cottage tucked behind a garden wall.

A rabbit tending rows of vegetables.

A little village preparing for the changing season.

These are the kinds of worlds I have always loved - the ones that leave a little room for imagination.

And this autumn, I've been creating a few of my own.

A Different Kind of Project

My Little Home Edit began with a love of home - the rooms we create, the things we collect, and the everyday moments that make a house feel like our own.

But the more I thought about what I wanted this little space to become, the more I realized that Living Made Beautiful isn't only about interiors.

It's also about creativity.

It's about making time for the things that bring us back to ourselves. About finding beauty in simple pleasures. About childhood imagination, nature, stories and the quiet satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

And that is where these colouring books began.

A Little Fairyland

The first book is an invitation into a world of cottages, woodland creatures and fairies, gardens, flowers and little bits of magic.

A place where a rabbit might wander through a garden, where tiny cottages sit among the trees, and where every page offers another little corner to discover.

I wanted it to feel nostalgic without belonging to a particular time.

A little bit storybook.

A little bit countryside.

A little bit magical.

Most of all, I wanted it to feel somewhere you could step into for a while.

Made for Slower Moments

I think we could all use a few more moments that ask nothing of us.

A cup of tea.

A quiet afternoon.

A pencil moving across a page.

No notifications. No hurry. No need to make anything perfect.

Just a little time to create.

That was one of the things I wanted these books to offer.

Something simple to pick up at the end of the day. Something to share with a child. Something to return to on a rainy afternoon.

A small invitation to slow down.

From My Home to Yours

These colouring books may seems like a little departure from vintage furniture, collected interiors and modern cottage living.

But to me, they belong here.

Because a beautiful home isn't only about what we put inside it.

It is about what happens there.

It is where stories are read, pictures are drawn, cakes are baked, gardens are tended and imaginations are allowed to wonder.

It is where ordinary afternoons become memories.

And perhaps that's why these little illustrated worlds feel so at home here.

They are another way of celebrating the things I love about everyday life: nature, home, creativity, childhood and the simple pleasures of making something beautiful.

A New Little Chapter

Fairyland is the first of what I hope will become a growing collection of creative things from My Little Home Edit.

And there are already more little worlds taking shape behind the scenes.

For now, I'll keep them tucked away - but if you love this little world, there will be more to discover in the seasons ahead.

So this autumn, I'm inviting you to step inside.

Choose your colours.

Take your time.

And make the little world your own.
